What we do not do if you simply visit us:
We do not set cookies since we have no need to. We do not track your behavior on our Site. Unless you file a complaint, suggest a site or recommend an improvement, we do not take nor do we retain any of your information without letting you know what we plan on doing with that information.

What we do with information you provide if you file a Complaint:
We only handle Complaints against QTL Licensees. Please do not file a Complaint with QTL unless you see the QT Mark displayed on the Site the Complaint is in regard to. If you file a Complaint, the information you enter in the Complaint will be sent to the QT Licensee your complaint refers to, and to us at QTL. 

The information you provide us in a Complaint including an e-mail address and phone number (at your option) is required so that the QTL Licensee can resolve the complaint with you. This complete information from your complaint will only be shared with the QT Licensee you complained about, QTL Associates, and, in the event you have a claim covered by the Licensee's Insurance Coverage, the Insurance Provider covering the QTL Licensee. 

If the Complaint you file against the QT Mark Licensee is found to be valid, the Licensee will be fined if it has violated its own QT Code of Ethical Business Practices (QTCEBP) - what you see when you click the QT Mark on the QTL Licensed Site and go to the QTL Site to check on the Licensee's QTCEBP). QTL will first attempt to have the Licensee resolve the issue with you. We will also fine the QTL Licensee for any additional verified non-compliance with its Code of Ethical Business Practices .

It should be understood that QTL Associates,  the QTL Licensee, and potentially its Insurance Provider, will see the information and associated evidence you provide. However, you are protected in that your Complaint must be in regards to a specific violation of the Licensee's QTCEBP and the detail you decide you need to share to describe the non-compliance with the Licensee's QTCEBP and attendant evidence is up to you. In nearly all cases, this will not be sensitive information, and we would prefer that you did not send us sensitive information. The simple facts relating to the exact violation is all we need and want.

It should be understood that our purpose is to provide you, the User/Consumer with the trust and confidence you need to comfortably use QT-Licensed Sites, Services and Products, and for the betterment of all Sites, Services and Products, whether they are or are not QT Licensees. For the purpose of betterment as a whole, QTL DOES COLLECT generic Complaint information and does distribute this information to various third parties that distibute reports to vendors as well as the media . This aggregated information DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY OF YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION meaning it does not include your name, address, phone number or e-mail address. Complaint information we distribute includes ONLY the specific Code violation and the complaint details. It does however include the nature of your complaint i.e. the specific Code of Ethics violated and details you entered about the violation. The distribution of this information goes to research firms such as Forrester, Gartner, Jupiter, the press and others that will disseminate this information and help vendors understand where they are failing. The purpose of distributing this information is so various entities can realize their errors and correct them. But it must be made clear that YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION WILL NOT BE RELEASED TO ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN DISPUTE RESOLUTION BASED UPON  COMPLAINTS. We will not sell, rent or otherwise release your name, phone number, or e-mail address to anyone for any reason. You will never end up on a mailing list since we will never divulge any of your personally identifiable information. And QTL will never mail or email to you other than in the resolution of a Complaint.

Overview for Licensees
If you are applying for Quality Testing Labs QT Mark Licensing, you will be asked to provide certain limited information about your entity to QTL. To the greatest extent possible, we limit the information we collect to that which is required to process your QTL License application. If you are purchasing Site and/or user liability insurance, the Insurance Provider does not share the details of the information they separately gather from you with QTL, except for the general information we require. This includes the status of your Insurance Policy (in force or not). QTL does not receive any of the details of your policy. QTL only gathers what it needs to know to process your License Application. 

QTL is not in partnership with any other entity. We collect only the limited information we need and the Insurance Provider collect their information separately and apart from QTL. This includes information about you, your Company,  its operations, and Annual Revenues to determine your License cost. We limit this to only the exact information we require to enable you to obtain QT Mark licensing. We agree to hold this information confidential from the public.

You should also know and be assured that we do not sell or divulge information about our Licensees other than to the extent they understand this at the time of Licensing, and only where it will benefit the Licensee. For instance, your QTCEBP and reference to your Site or entity will be posted on our list of Licensees. However, no further information will ever be made available about your operations, Annual Revenues, Security systems or other elements pertaining to your QTCEBP other than what you determine you want the public to see.
