see the Code your Organization has agreed to.

Codes we provide are specific, clear and straightforward. They provide
your visitors with fast access to your policies and can be linked to
specific pages on your Site where those policies can be found.

Each type of Site has a slightly
different Code depending on their policies and the type of products or
services they provide. Take a quick read of this sample Code for a Site

The
QTL Code is not a list of promises Organizations should adhere to, it
is the Code QTL Licensees must adhere to.

We
have agreed to the following Promises to Users and Consumers and fines
for violations
of our Code of Business Practices and compensation to our
Users/Consumers:
Security,
Privacy and Full Disclosure
Security
-
any and all financial transactions are processed on a secure socket layer that is at least 40 bit
encryption and must be identified in the URL starting with https://.
Reliability
-
we agree that our Site will not be down for more than 5 minutes in any
24 hour period. This assumes that the consumer can connect to the Internet
by the consumers' network. We have redundant mechanisms in place to increase the security of your
data and the performance of our Site.
Privacy
- we
have a privacy statement for consumer privacy, display the privacy
statement on our site and allow consumers the "opt out",
"opt in" option regarding our disclosure of your personal information. We
do not sell or rent any personally identifiable information about you to
any third party without your prior consent. We may share non-personal, aggregate information
regarding customer demographics, traffic patterns, sales, and site usage
internally and with our partners, advertisers or sponsors.
Full
disclosure
- we fully disclose all pertinent information about our services,
products, all costs involved, availability of products, warranty
information, return policy, receipt for goods purchased and terms and
conditions of use of Licensee Site.
We will never willfully
disclose personally identifiable information about our customers to any
third party without prior consent. We are required to share certain
information with our partners, in accordance with our Security Policy.
Those
that have links or advertising
on our site may collect information about you when you click on their
advertisement or link. We do not control the collection of this
information and suggest you read the privacy statements of each of these
companies. You will know when you have been sent ot another Site by
looking at the URL of that Site. If it is not ours, you can tell by what
the address reads after the http://.
Customer
Service Honor
all Claims we make
-
all the claims and representations we make in writing on our Site, email
and correspondence are true, accurate and up to date.
Reasonable
Response -
we respond to any customer contact attempt within 72
hours (3 days) via any method including but not limited to email, phone,
both or any other method that will constitute a reasonable means of
response.
Customer
Support Access - we provide a page on our Site for our consumers
to access customer service via email, submit
form, phone and postal mail. Furthermore, we list our email address, phone
number and physical address on our contact page.
Payment
-
we agree to clearly notify our customers before they are going to be
charged for products or services.
Transactional
Information
- we agree to provide our customers with a receipt, invoice or similar
Information of all products or services purchased immediately following
payment.
Delivery - we deliver our products
within the timeframe stated on our Site and by the carrier our consumers
choose.
Return Policy
- we
provide a page on our Site for our consumers to review our return
policy. We process returns within 10 days upon receipt of the item being
returned.
Crediting
- we agree to credit back all the agreed charges within 10 business days
upon receipt of the item being returned.
Auditing
- We
agree that QTL may conduct a Site review at any time to ensure the Site
is in compliance with its code.
Conduct
- we agree to conduct our organization within the laws of the state,
province or country in which our organization resides.
Penalties
for non-compliance
Penalties
- we agree that any report to QTL of failure to comply with any of the
rules set forth by this agreement will constitute a penalty of $100 per
incident.
Revocation
- QTL will revoke our right to use the QT Mark if we
exceed 100 reported complaints regarding any of the items in our Code
above.
Compensation - In the event non-compliance to our Code, we
will compensate the User that reported the issue to QTL a gift
certificate for $25 off their next purchase.
We have signed an independent
agreement with Quality Testing Labs to be immediately financially
penalized for
non-compliance and/or violations.
