In
1998, Benwin unveiled the award-winning EX-4, a museum piece.
In
addition to
producing deeper bass with its unique subwoofer, its speakers were of a
shape never seen before in audio history. And the industry noticed. The
EX-4 won Business Week's Industrial Design Society of America's Best
Product of the Year Award, the Consumer Electronic Show's Innovations
2000 Award, the Popular Mechanics Award, and the Chicago Athenaeum
Museum's Good Design Award. It remains on display in the Museum's
collection. And the reviews were very positive for a technology that had
changed the way the world looked at audio speakers. There truly was a
new shape of sound, and Benwin delivered it in style.
