| For speaker systems WITHOUT a subwoofer: | |||
| 1 |
Turn the power off and the volume all the way down on the PC or stereo system. |
| 2 |
Determine where the LINE OUT terminal is on your PC or stereo system. Normally there are several ports on the back of your PC. Refer to the owners manual for the PC or stereo system to determine location. If it is not a stereo mini-plug, (plug supplied will not fit easily), use an appropriate adapter. If a line out is unavailable, you may use the headphone jack. Note: If your system has two RCA jacks (left and right stereo) instead of a stereo mini-plug, you will need to purchase a 6 stereo cable with male RCA jacks at both ends. |
| 3 |
Plug the stereo mini-plug into the LINE OUT terminal of the PC, stereo system or stereo television (or the headphone jack if a line out is unavailable).
| 4 |
Plug the red and black RCA plugs on the other end of this cable into the red and black INPUT JACKS on the subwoofer.
| 5 |
Plug the RCA mono cable into the SPEAKER OUT of the speaker with the controls.
| 6 |
Plug the other end of each RCA mono cable into the SPEAKER IN on the back of each speaker. On some models, the cable is already attached to the speaker.
| 7 |
Turn the VOLUME on your new Benwin subwoofer all the way down, (fully counter clockwise).
| 8 |
Connect the ac adapter to the speaker. Then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
| 9 | Press the POWER on the Benwin subwoofer, and start your PC or turn on your stereo system. Play a CD, the radio or other sound. You should now be enjoying your new Benwin speakers. Adjust the controls of your new Benwin speakers, along with the controls of your PC or stereo system to your liking. | ||
You may plug headphones directly into the speaker
(headphone jacks not available on all models). Be sure to turn the volume down to minimum
and turn power off before plugging headphones in.
